Feasibility – ABMs for piglets

Rate the feasibilty each ABM for use with piglets (pre-weaning)

Welcome

Feasibility reflects the ease of recording, resources required, and the ability to record the ABM under field conditions (within a 1-day visit).

The definition is based on Llonch et al. (2015) which proposed three levels of feasibility for each ABM:

  • High feasibility = easy and quick recording without any special needs/tools or resources (money or training)
  • Medium feasibility = extra time, tools or resources needed for recording (but do-able within a 1-day visit)
  • Low feasibility = very difficult to record under field conditions and/or within a 1-day visit

However, in this exercise you will be asked to rate the feasibility of using an ABM for dry sows and gilts using a continuous scale ranging from 0–100. This scale will be tagged with the Low, Medium and High to assist in the rating process.

Step 1: Rank ABMs on feasibility

The items are pre-allocated to High, Medium, and Low based on the consensus meeting. Please reorder within each box only (drag up/down). Moving items between boxes is disabled.
